Water Well Opening Video:

Dear Donors

As Hulp Medet Association, we sincerely thank you for your valuable contribution to our collective water well project. Thanks to you, many people will experience a big change in their lives by having access to clean water.

The Prophet (PBUH) said: "When a person dies, his deeds end, except for three things: Sadaqah al-cari'ah (continued charity), useful knowledge and a good son who prays for him." (Muslim, Testiyyah, 14)

With these donations, which are within the scope of charity, you have been instrumental in a continuous good deed both in this world and in the hereafter. A water well not only provides water, but also improves the health, education and general well-being of a community.

The opening video and the location of the water well opened with your donations have been added to our website and all our donors have been informed by e-mail. We would like to thank you again for your contribution to this auspicious project and ask our Lord to accept your donations.

God bless you.

Why are we drilling water wells?

As Hulp Medet, we strive to respond to the water needs of people in lands where thirst is rampant. As an association working for the benefit of the community, we set out with the slogan "Being a Life for a Hope"...

We are opening water wells in Africa, Bangladesh and Pakistan so that not one more family will suffer the pain of a child due to lack of water or contaminated water, and not one more child will become an orphan.

Why a water well?

Water is a vital need for every living thing. In wetlands, soils are more suitable for agriculture. And animals that feed on plants are more productive. People living in lands where plants and animals are productive lead a prosperous life. In areas where there is insufficient water, drought occurs.
People in deprived areas, who are in trouble with thirst, are even more difficult with the malnutrition caused by drought. While some are tested with thirst, others have to struggle with various diseases caused by contaminated water.

Although 70% of the Earth is covered with water, only 2.5% of the water on earth is fresh water, i.e. potable water. For this reason, although countries have sufficient water resources, potable water resources vary across continents, regions and countries.

According to the report prepared by the United Nations (UN), the distribution of population density and clean water resources by continents is given in the table on the side. While the table shows continents living in abundance of water, it is noteworthy that there are also regions living in the face of death due to water scarcity.

According to a UN report, Oceania (Austria and the islands), which has 5% of the available water resources, is a water-poor continent. Despite this, Oceania is ahead of other continents in terms of the amount of water per capita due to its low population density.
Again, 60% of the world's population lives in Asia. Only 36% of the world's fresh water resources are located in Asia. According to various studies, Asia lags behind other continents in terms of the amount of water per capita, with the lowest average.
